Here's a small sampling of the types of projects we've worked on recently.

Smartphone Evaluation

Mistaya Solutions has been contracted to evaluate smartphones and mobile device management software to replace the Blackberry 7 device infrastructure for one of our clients.

Our client needs to work securely, free from hacks, malware, viruses and unauthorized access and at the same time be assured that their investment in remote working technology is safe. While Blackberry continue to announce company losses, many clients are considering moving away from Blackberry Enterprise but the business world has been reluctant to adopt Android due to a perceived lack of security and limited management capability.

Videoconferencing

Mistaya Solutions was contracted to build a complete High Definition video conferencing infrastructure for a large Government department. After much evaluation, Tandberg/Cisco was chosen as the manufacturer of choice. Over the next 2 years, Mistaya Solutions designed and installed 25 integrated HD video conference rooms. Each room featured either a single or dual 50/65” LCD monitor system, integrated microphones for audio support and a bespoke AMX touch panel system that allowed any employee to connect via video as easily as they could with a mobile phone

In addition to the room integration, we deployed a Codian HD bridge technology, VCS control and VCS expressway for firewall traversal and well as TMS for scheduling for all video resources. Mistaya Solutions provides a managed service to schedule, maintain and support the clients video conference infrastructure.

Messaging Infrastructure Upgrade

Faced with an aging messaging platform, our client wanted to reduce costs while preserving its current 99.999 percent availability rate. We deployed a pilot of Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 to evaluate how the new architecture and capabilities could help them improve their current messaging configuration. After a successful pilot we rolled out a new architecture across all employees.

The implementation included Database Availability Groups, a feature that combines on-site and off-site data replication into a single solution and provides an easier way to replicate e-mail to a remote location in order to safeguard the Exchange Server environment against site-level disasters. Our client expects to maintain four copies of each database across multiple data centers to ensure that a copy is always available to come online.
